Los Gatos is nowhere near LA; it's much closer to San Jose.

BTW, it seems that he buys his at a different store in the Silicon Valley
general area each time one comes out

Figures. When I read anything about CA and I see "Los" it turns on the
LA neuron.

Apple should have one gift wrapped for him with the same serial number
as his old employee number.

Well, first of all, it's his current employee number; he never left the
employ of Apple. He doesn't do any work there, and doesn't get paid, but
he's still on the rolls.

Secondly, he wants to stand in line to buy them, and wants to be first in
line as well.

Third, their serial number system doesn't allow for serial number 1 on any
product.

Other than those, it's a capital idea.
