Default Widget to turn onj/off wifi, bluetooth, GPS?

Does anyone know of a widget available for the iPhone 4 that will turn
on and off wifi, bluetooth and/or GPS (location services)? These are
the three biggest power users and until Apple fixes the IOS
battery-eating problem I'd like to have a convenient way to disengage
whichover of them I choose to at the moment.

Go here on your iPhone and you can set up quick links on your device
without jailbreaking.

gps is the biggest power draw and can drain a battery in a couple of
hours. wifi/bluetooth aren't that significant. you can also turn off 3g
when you don't need it. voice calls will sound the same.

as for a direct way to change things, there are jailbreak solutions but
they're hacks. an app called icon project will let you create 'macros'
that take you to the appropriate settings page and in some cases toggle
the item without any need to jailbreak. this works in 5.0.* and is
reported to be 'fixed' in 5.1 (i.e., apple broke it).

Settings > Airplane Mode is not convenient enough?

a bit of a problem if you aren't on an airplane and don't want to
disable all of them.

"Disable all of them" is what he seemed to be asking for. But I see the
different wording at the end. So, the answer is still settings.
One or two presses of the home button and one screen tap gets you in.
Unless you drag settings into the "favorites" bar.

Airplane mode also means you can't make or receive calls.

Very slick! These are just web shortcuts taking you to
URLS of the form:
prefs:root=LOCATION_SERVICES

You can save such web shortcuts onto main screens and when
you tap them, they take you, for a moment, into Safari,
which then dispatches you over to the prefs app.

Very nicely done and without a jailbreak. The fellow who
put this little collection together made a nice batch of
shortcuts with attractive icons and all.

There are a few I'll be adding (bluetooth, location services
especially).

icon project does the same thing, with custom icons and custom
shortcuts. you do have to type them in, but you can do other stuff too.

not that it matters, because apple 'fixed' it. it will only work in 5.0
& 5.0.1.
