Default Is there a process to get Apple to consider updating its Apple products?

I have suggestions for Apple to correct what I see as defects in its Clock:
World Clock application that is part of the iOS in the iPhone.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to go about getting my suggestions to
the right person and/or group within Apple?

Suggestions welcomed.

Thanks JR.

Have you taken a look at their disclaimer? They really don't want to hear
what you have to say. I sent it in anyway just for grins. We'll see what
happens.

You mean this one?:

<http://www.apple.com/legal/policies/ideas.html>

I hadn't, no. I just read it though.

That's not my interpretation of what I just read.

What do you expect to happen? How does that differ from what you want to
happen?

The Clock app has four sections: World Clock, Alarm, Stop Watch & Timer.

I suggested Apple update the cities database in the World Clock section to
include:

()cities/countries that have a half hour offset to G.M.T. such as Tehran,
Kabul, Delhi, Adelaide and a few others. Please...no Muslim bashing.

()include cities/countries that are (-11) offset to G.M.T. such as American
Samoa/Midway Islands/Johnston Atoll/Tonga/Rawaki Haven't found an iPhone
city entry for -11 G.M.T. that does not observe daylight savings time.

I have one entry (in my iPhone) for each time G.M.T. time zone. The iPhone
allows 24 entries. I wish Apple would allow more than 24 entries.

I am a Amateur Radio Operator, talk to folks all over the world and this
suggestion means something to me. I like to know what the local time is in
the foreign country I am talking to. "Of course: "Your mileage may vary."
Please don't flame me for being anal.

()finally when a new contact is created and the address field is selected
the default is alpha. I suggested the default for USA be set to numeric
since most addresses in the USA start with a number.

Peace-out!

I just put those places in and they have the correct local time with
the half hour offset.

That must have changed with one of the latest iOS updates. Cool.

Given the mass ignorance of geography in the world (that's right, it's
not limited to USA), I would personally appreciate it if all Apple
products allowed some way to select time zones by a more precise way
than merely having to know that such and such a city is in that time zone.

If the city you are after isn't in the menu. and no other city in that
country is in the menu, ....

At least the current menu is better than the old method of trying to
click the right spot on an teeny little simulated photo of the globe.

My early 1990s Psion Series 3 PDA had the best "World time" application.

You could create your own cities, provide latitude, longitude, GMT
offset, Daylight/nodaylight etc.

When selecting that city, you would get sunrise/sunset, distance to your
home town, ad what telephone code you needed to dial to reach someone in
that city (aka: country code, city code).

The "clock" app doesn't come anywhere close to this.
