Put small amounts of epoxy resin and hardener on a
piece of scrap plastic.

Mix them together with a toothpick.

Make sure the thing is where you want it.

Use the toothpick to fill the gap with the epoxy.

Let sit for a few hours.

One of the windshield mounts I use just touches the switch enough to flip
it when IPhone is inserted. Took me awhile to figure it out! Had to cut off
a little plastic.

I've seen them break on older iPhones. Just get a kitchen knife, or
something like it, and pry the little button off. Should be easy.

Maybe you're holding it wrong. : D

I would love to see someone do that, only to find that they accidentally
silenced it forever. : D

Mine broke of my 3G 6 months ago.
I haven't missed it. I just use the software switch instead.
Looks like the 4 has a more durable design.

So did mine, about two months ago. It still works, but I have to use a
fingernail to flip it.

I wish it would not vibrate unless I choose to silence it.
