Default Restoring "as a new iPhone"

Hello!

I have ongoing problems with the size of "other" memory on my iPhone 4.
It's jailbroken and running iOS 4.3.3.

To bring the "other" memory back to a resonable size, I tried lots of
attempts including removing all music and video, then manually re-adding
it, clearing browser chaches, deleting Cover artwork manually with iFile
and much more.
But still, the "other" memory is occupying more than 1 GB.

The last resort would be restoring from scratch, jailbreaking again and
manually add all apps again.

What bothers e there is this: What about the data stored in these apps?
Do I have to restore this data manually?

Thanks for helping!

Gerhard

ignore it. the size breakdown is not usually accurate and changes with
the wind. sometimes apps are tallied into other and moments later
they're back in apps. sometimes the total size jumps to over capacity
and then back down to well under capacity. it's very broken.

as long as everything fits, it will be fine.
