Default o2 dropping The Cloud in UK

I've just had a customer service (is that an oxymoron) message from o2 saying
The Cloud wifi won't be part of my unlimited wifi any more as of February next year.

I wonder why? Thin end of the wedge, maybe?

They are rolling out their own WiFi network so I guess they don't need
The Cloud any more and BT Openzone has more coverage than when the
iPhone first came out.

(aside)
Funny to read this less than five minutes after a post
(in another group) in which "Tesco" was a brand of Velcro
strip for reusable application of bundling cable runs.
