Default [NZ News] Vodafone loses iPhone exclusivity

According to the TV news shows, Vodafone New Zealand is no longer the sole
official supplier of the iPhone. Telecom New Zealand will now be selling
the iPhone 4S as well.

Althgough Vodafone New Zealand was the only official network, it was
legally possible to buy an non-subsidised iPhone directly from Apple or
some other resellers and simply use a SIM card from Telecom New Zealand
(or the other main mobile phone provider, 2Degrees).

This change means Telecom New Zealand will now also be able to sell
subsidised iPhones with contract plans ... the TV One News is claiming
there might be an "iPhone price war" (I wouldn't hold your breath
expecting it though).

Apparently Telecom NZ does have insanely high prices if you go over your
monthly data limit though. :-(
