Default my 3gs really slow on ios 5.0.1 after upgrade

i know i am not alone as i see several peopel with the same issue. But
anyone with any ideas as to why it suddenly got really slow?

When its been in lockscreen mode for a while, bearing in mind i kill
all but phone processes, its a good 5 seconds till i get to see the
old messages. Dito with settings screen

I don't recall it being this slow before

The same here, I'm afraid. Thgere are also times when it takes an age
(relatively speaking) to switch between apps.

Still over nearly 2gb of memory free, so it's not that.

[please don't top post - thanks]

IIRC is an acronym. Look it up.

You didn't mention jail breaking in your original post.

Regardless, restoring is still worth a shot.
