Bonjour,

Sorry il my writing is not very correct...

I hesitate tu buy a Iphone4 (low price) wich suffers of two problems :
- no ring,
- no vib.

This having occurred afterwards the change of front and rear glass, and
continues in spite of a restoration.

Do you think it is possible to a tech non "apple" to fix one or two of
these problemes ?

Is this attempt possibly successful ?

Merci for yours answers

Alain

Vibrator is located on the top of phone opposide the camera.

The ring is out of the speaker which is at the bottom of phone, on the
right side (with you looking at the side of the phone with the home button).

Vbrator is screwed in with ribbon connector as I recall.

The speaker is placed in with two pressure contacts.

The person who re-assembled the phone should have been more careful when
re-assembling the phone.

Thank you for this answer, youu think that if I open the Iphone,
disassemble carefully these parts et reassemble with great precision it
may work fine ? And I may recover vib or speaker or both ?

only if you're able to do so without making it worse.

www.iFixit.com will give you good instructions on how to do it.

The one thing they forgot: when you re-assemble it, the notch that is
part of the speaker assembly goes UNDER the motherboard, not over it.

Since the vibrator and speaker are totally different hardware in
diffrent locations and driven by different stuff, I would assume that
your unit was not re-assembled properly.

If the "silent" button was badly re-elaigned, the speaker might be
turned off but the vibrator would still operate.

I might be way off here, or missed something in the original post, but when
I had that same problem with my iPhone 4 iit was because I had the switch
turned off....it's the little one on the left side above the volume
controls. If it shows a red line, it's turned on to keep the phone from
ringing or vibrating. If it isn't red, everything works.

Not true. At least with my 3G, my wife's 3GS and my BFN 4S. 3G and
3GS running the latest (last?) 4?, 4S running 5 something. All never
opened.
