The one thing they forgot: when you re-assemble it, the notch that is part of the speaker assembly goes UNDER the motherboard, not over it. Since the vibrator and speaker are totally different hardware in diffrent locations and driven by different stuff, I would assume that your unit was not re-assembled properly. If the "silent" button was badly re-elaigned, the speaker might be turned off but the vibrator would still operate. |

If it shows a red line, it's turned on to keep the phone from ringing or vibrating. If it isn't red, everything works. JanG |

Not true. At least with my 3G, my wife's 3GS and my BFN 4S. 3G and 3GS running the latest (last?) 4?, 4S running 5 something.
