In the process or trying to go back to an earlier iOS on my iPhone 3G,
I had to restore the device. After discovering I couldn't go back
without jailbreaking, I just settled for the latest iOS version until
Jobs figures out a way to improve performance.

But since restoring I've been asked for a "Voicemail Password". I
tried most of the passwords I normally use and nothing is working. I
cannot ever recall entering a voicemail password and now the machine
doesn't stop annoying me.

Can anyone think a way out of this one?

Call your carrier and have them reset it?

I doubt very seriously Steve Jobs will be the one to actually figure
that out.

I would call AT&T and have them help you reset your voicemail password.

Thanks for the quick replies. I got to ATT and they reset the
password. All is well because of all of your help.

Your original voicemail password was probably the last four digits of your
telephone number.
