I can tell you that the problems with the activation servers were prevalent, indeed. Started trying to activate two phones at 10:00 Pacific and finally got activated at 4:00. Despite many attempts, a visit to an AT&T store, and a call to AT&T. The response to the call was "Our servers are overloaded. A lot of people got new phones today." Really? I hadn't heard that was coming. AT&T has a history of not adequately preparing their infrastructure for new iPhones. Mike |

Phone kept saying "no signal" but never gave me one of the "activation" messages. Finally I gave up and called the phone number listed on the email AT&T sent when they gave me the tracking number for the phone. Took about two minutes going through the menus and providing the relevant info. Turned the phone off for 5 minutes, like it said to, turned it back on and voila, all was well. --Mike-- Chain Reaction Bicycles www.ChainReactionBicycles.com |
