If a little Brew sellphone can format output over BT to an HP monster
printer, iPhone shouldn't have any problem doing the same over wifi.

My phone tells me the make/model of ever printer it ever sent data to.
If you don't see a printer listed, you do a BT search and it lists all
the BT printers broadcasting. Click on one and it adds that printer to
the list, which goes on and on if you "borrow" printers from Best Buy,
Office Max and Depot, any office you use that has an unguarded printer...
(c;]

When you first click PRINT from the photo viewer, it takes me to a screen
to select what size picture I want or I can tell it to print X number of
pictures on a single page and the Motorola Z6m will tile the photos, then
send the 8.5x11" tile set to the printer, with the pictures automatically
sized to fit the whole page for that X number. It's great for making
wallet-sized photos if you put glossy picture paper in the printer
instead of paper. One of the Canons at Best Buy always has 4x6 glossy
paper in it for "demo". The printer makes the photo I send it fit the
small paper.

I can even use BT directly from the phone to the nice photo kiosk at
WalMart's superstore. It's one of the printers on my list. There must
be only a tiny few of us that can do that because the clerks that run the
photo department always seem amazed when they see me print the pictures
directly over BT from my tiny sellphone.

Too bad the bastards that run sellphone companies shut down printing.
It's really handy. The Verizon firmwared Z6m or Z6tv, same exact phone,
has nothing of printing and lots of other features Alltel didn't disable,
like tethering....printing....BT file transfers....etc.

It will print to printers as well as to computers that are sharing
printers, as I recall them saying during the announcement.

We already know. Watch the announcement.

The preview of printing in iOS 4.2 starts at 16:04 in the announcement
video. At 16:28, a close-up view of the printer selection widget is
displayed, listing a printer connected to a Mac Pro (presumably via
Printer Sharing) as well as two wireless printers.

Appropriate?

Any printer that's not supported is officially inappropriate.

How do you define "supported"? If the drivers are not part of the OS, but
can be obtained from the printer manufacturer, is the printer supported?

Not if you say "the appropriate drivers are part of OS X."

I forget how much emotional baggage many Apple users bring into even
simple technical discussions.

You aren't making any sense.

And I forgot how much idiocy Apple opponents bring into any discussion. Or
maybe it's that English is not your native language.

Asking about printer support has made me an Apple opponent, an idiot,
and someone who doesn't understand English.

Thank you so very much for going out of your way to prove my point.

The camera is so low quality I wouldn't want to print any of the pictures.
