Default Invitations?

Hi

What are the "invitations" at the bottom right of my calendar app? The
symbol and linked page appeared with the ios 5 upgrade, but I don't have the
slightest idea what it means or what to do with it.

Maybe I just need more friends to invite me to stuff?

Thanks

chris

This was already a feature of iCal on the Mac. You can send e-mail
invitations for an event to specified people. As long as their e-mail
software is integrated with calendaring software (e.g. another iOS
device or Mail/iCal on a Mac), the invite will appear in their calendar,
and when they accept it, their acceptance will be forwarded back to you.

I don't know offhand whether any of this works outside the iOS/Mac
universe.

That would help. :-)
