Ha! They did what i suspected they would do (make the side pieces
stretch over the antennae separators). : )

If one of you wants to be a millionaire, simply manufacture a soft
rubber wrap around the IP4 with a coupling antenna across the damned gap
that matches the impedance of the phone to a little coax cable buried
into the plastic of the wrap going up to a little 1900 Mhz 3db antenna
stub built into the top of it that will give IP4 a proper 1900 Mhz
antenna for ATTWS....sticking up!

That thing would sell like hotcakes bypassing both Apple's attempt to
reduce range and ATTWS attempt to shed IP4 users from unlimited
bandwidth.

The 1900 Mhz antenna can be imbedded into the TOP of the rubber bumper
to get it up where the damned antennas should all be in the first place.

After establishing yourself as the supplier of THE REAL FIX across the
net, you can start building other models to fit all the other
smartphones. Even if they don't need it, sellphone stupids will be
searching the malls demanding it at any price because "It sure fixes the
Iphone 4! Think of what it can do for me!", the usual sheeple herd
mentality.

I'm simply AMAZED that Wilson Antennas, the old CB antenna company,
hasn't created a FULL LINE of smartphone "RANGE EXTENDERS" (or some
other glitzy named ad) that does just what I'm proposing. Wilson is all
setup to make them, and has the great reputation for excellence noone
would question.

Anyone remember the 'RANGE EXTENDER' stickon antennas the stupid
sellphone buyers used to stick to the bottom of the battery compartments
that did nothing at all but looked "cool"? They made millions!

They're STILL selling for over $12!

if you really think that's the case, why don't you take advantage of
the opportunity?

I'm quite happily retired. Though, today I was dragged out of retirement
to straighten out a screwup at a local hotel where some idiot decided to
use ONE DSL modem feeding ONE 4-port Cisco router feeding EIGHT 24-port
ethernet hubs feeding 188 rooms in a hotel with "high speed internet
service", a nebulous term that means we got DSL coming into the building
but you're only gonna see 150Kbps in your room if everybody's back from the
ball game and bored.

They weren't too happy with my mathematics showing why it all slowed to a
crawl every night that was going to cost the company MONEY to install more
pipes.

Actually, they offered this same option before the antenna debacle. They're
just featuring it now.

But were they offering it for free then?

No, that was a very recent change.

I purchased a skin from them once on 6/15/2010 before the iPhone 4 was
released, because I ordered an iPhone 4 the day of release. When I
received it, I noticed the sides are split where each antenna ends:

<http://jollyroger.kicks-ass.org/iphone4-zagg-1.jpg>

We bought another skin from them on 7/7/2010 for my wife's iPhone 4.
Same thing with it. I seem to recall reading all the hype about the
antenna debacle well before we ordered her iPhone.
