Default How do I upgrade to 3.2

Hi
I want to upgrade the software on my Iphone 3gs to version 3.2 ( I am now
on version 3.1 ) but when I connect to PC, the itunes app wants me to
upgrade to version 4.
How do you upgrade to a version of your choice and not what Itunes wants to
do.
Regards
Pete

In short, you don't.

First off, 3.2 is iPad only and doesn't run on any iPhone.

Second, Apple only digitally signs upgrade requests to the latest
version, so unless you're previously upgraded to a certain version,
jailbroken and saved your SHSH blobs, you generally can't upgrade to an
OS of your choosing.

Ok thanks.
Wife was trying to download a game on her Iphone from the app store and it
wouldn't download as it said she needed 3.2, so I am presuming it was for
the Ipad not Iphone.

Pretty sure you missed that boat.

It might run on both platforms, but need at least 3.2 (in other words,
it might run on iPad 3.2 or iPhone iOS 4.0)

You won't normally see an iPad only app on an iPhone, AppStore doesn't
list them and iTunes won't install them.
