Default Apple special event

Apple is live streaming the special event today. I started watching it at
9:50 am. A live band was playing "We Can Work it Out", which is a Beatles
song. Maybe one of the things we'll find out is that the Beatles are
coming to iTunes. Maybe not, but the choice of a Beatles song at an Apple
event can't be mere coincidence.

Only seven minutes until it starts...

Looks like a continuity problem.

So I was wrong; nothing about the Beatles. Not the first time I've been
wrong, and probably not the last.

iOS 4.1 next week for iPhone and iPod Touch. iOS 4.2 in November for all
iOS devices; it will allow wireless printing from the device. (New Nano
apparently excluded, though.)

iTunes 10.0 later today.

New iPods. (except iPod Classic, which wasn't even mentioned. It's
probably cancelled.) Shuffle got bigger, and has the scroll wheel back,
but it's smaller than the previous model with scroll wheel. iPod Nano now
has a touch screen, and is no bigger than the screen.

New Apple TV in November; rental only, with no hard drive. One quarter the
size of the current Apple TV. $99.

On the AppleTV, I wonder if the older versions are software updateable
to this new level of functionality?

Is this the update which is supposed to correct the problems with the 3G? I
do hope so.

Lynn

If you mean the problem of sluggish operation on the 3g iphone after
updating the os to ios4, then the answer is yes.
