Default Wireless works - but not for syncing

I can see my IOS 5 iPad 1 fine through the wireless setting. But
most of the time there's the little ! in a triangle indicating a
problem. When I click on it, I get "The iPad "Howard Brazee's iPad"
cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-50).

The first time I got this, I figured it was the same problem I had a
few times per month with IOS 4, and prepared to go through the
standard steps to fix it.

But when I plugged it into my computer, it synced fine without them.

I've repeated this 4 times now - that error stops it from syncing
upstairs but not plugged in.

Have you tried syncing from the iPad itself (Settings > General > iTunes
Wi-Fi Sync)?

I will try that next time the problem occurs and see what happens. But
at the moment, there is no problem and it is syncing fine from iTunes.
It is an inconsistent issue.

Probably a network issue then.
