Default What about all these "CrashReporter" files?

On my Windows XP system, I find that I have over 3,000 files in my iPad's
CrashReporter directory, the oldest created on October 14. There are about
800 files in my iPod Touch's directory, in about the same date range.

Does anything ever get done with these?

They are sent to Apple for diagnosis.

How often, and by what trigger? Do they get deleted by the tranmission
process, or is it up to me to clean house periodically?

Sounds like I can delete them after I've done a sync.

Looks like Apple's picking up Microsoft's bad habit of leaving a lot of
"temporary" files behind.
