Default Synchronization problems

It happens more and more often that synchronization gets stuck -
usually when doing the backup.

I do a power reset and sometimes delete the backup. Eventually I
fix it, and everything's OK for a week or two.

Then it happens again. This is *not* an example of "it just works".

Had a similar problem. Switched cables and it stopped. My .02.

My .02:

I thought for sure it was my cables. Took the iPad to a "genius" -- with
all cables -- and everything checked out OK.
I was planning a migration from 32-bit to 64-bit Win 7 anyway. The
re-install "fixed" the "problem."
You may want to try reinstalling your chipset drivers to fix a corrupted USB
port.

I'm running 32-bit iTunes because I am using Jewel Box as a visualizer
that shows my lyrics, and it hasn't been updated to 64 bit.

I'll have to pay attention. Sometimes I plug it into my Belkin USB
powered port, and sometimes I plug it into a USB extent ion cord which
is plugged into the back of my iPad. I'll note which it's plugged
into each time in the future.

a usb extension cord is not officially part of the usb spec and belkin
is not known for adhering to specs or for quality for that matter. try
plugging the device directly into the computer and see if the problem
persists. check the console log for errors.
