Does anyone here use an iPad stylus? How well does it work?
Can it do everything on the iPad that fingertips can do? : The irony about the iPad stylus is that it has emerged on a market : that was designed not to need it, that is to say on the iPad market : that was advertised to work so good and natural with the use of : the fingers. But the fact is that using a pen is almost second nature : to generations of people who have known how to write since they were : 6 or 7 years old. So there are actually those who find using a stylus : much more comfortable than using their own fingers. * http://www.bestipadstylus.com/ * this applies to me on the small Nokia pad I use, as well as my Sony eBook reader. I have a Pogo Sketch, which I use occasionally if I want to do something which feels more natural with a pen-shaped object in my hand (e.g. sketching), or want a smaller contact point than my fingertips. It stays in my bag most of the time. It has a conductive tip and metallic body, so it works the same as touching the screen of an iOS device with your finger. (Also works on a trackpad.) The only issue I've had with it is that I sometimes need to press a little harder than I expected in order to make good contact with the screen. > : The irony about the iPad stylus is that it has emerged on a market > : that was designed not to need it, that is to say on the iPad market > : that was advertised to work so good and natural with the use of > : the fingers. I previously used a Palm Treo, which needed a stylus for precisely aiming at buttons. I much prefer using my finger for most things on the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. -- David Empson dempson@actrix.gen.nz |

But that sounds like a video game--use chopsticks to grab food and feed the baby. I think I'd find that hilarious (for about fifteen minutes) :-) -- Wes Groleau Be spontaneous … today http://Ideas.Lang-Learn.us/BlindDog?itemid=3984 |

I tried a rubber tip on the screen but nothing happens. -- Regards Brian |

Probably not even rubber, but looks like it. -- Wes Groleau Be spontaneous … today http://Ideas.Lang-Learn.us/BlindDog?itemid=3984 |
