Default Poor WiFi iPad2

Thanks for all the helpful replies to my original query [Poor WiFi iPad2].

Checking out of what I have in the way of wireless connected appliances came
as a bit of a surprise, off the top of my head, five DECT phones, wireless
controlled central heating.. a PC.. a laptop.. an iPad.. a surveillance
camera.. a Freeview PVR with wireless connectivity, along with the added
bonus of about half a dozen WiFi connected neighbours.

As you can imagine, the analyser app on the iPad and inSSIDer on my laptop,
showed the spectrum to be pretty crowded, fortunately however the swirling
mass of waveforms appeared to diminish around channel 12 and 13, so I have
now reallocated my Netgear router to channel 13, which has decidedly
improved reception all around the house.

Is your network secure? Are your neighbors using it with your aproval?

Hopefully, I've recently changed it from WEP to WPA2-AES and have an eleven
character password consisting of numbers and letters.
