Does anybody who reads books with his iPad have that switch set up the
other way?

There are likely a lot more who don't know the switch (hard or soft) is there
than use it.

is there than use it.

Granted. I expect few will choose the default - and hardly any who
use book readers would choose the default.

I remember with red face the first time I switched it on without realizing
it and, since my iPad was new and I could still call Apple for help, I did.
