I tried several apps when I discovered the problem with the same
failure. Some of those were programs that were aborting after
showing the flash screen. Since I deleted them from the multi-task
bar, then shut down my computer, those ran successfully, and I haven't
tried deleting them again. Instead, the last couple of days, I have
only tried a camera app that I bought for my iPhone (and can't use on
my iPad I).

Since the iOS is held in flash, I guess its not impossible for it be
corrupted, my iPad 1 went into a "funny" mode once where the touch screen
did not work at all a long time ago and the only thing that fixed it was a
complete restore of the iOS.
