I bought one and sent it back. It has speakers that sound better than the
ipad I saw. Otherwise, the Kindle Fire sucks. It has a shortage of apps.

Check out the user reviews on Amazon. The one star reviews are interesting.

The Kindle Fire is delivered in a box that is openly labeled as the Kindle
Fire, thus inviting theft.

Someday I may buy an ipad, but the price is hard for me to justify.

I doubt anyone thinks any tablet speakers are great. I watched a movie
on my Fire and the sound is just fine on the earbuds. They give you a
month's free movies/TV videos to get you hooked.

Well it's no iPad for sure, but then it's less than half the price.

The thing just came out. Give it time. I found most everything I
wanted. They are missing several important Google apps but the
hacksters have already figured a way to side load the comparable
android phone apps (no rooting necessary).

Yep, many reviews are less than stellar. I think they keep trying to
compare it to an iPad. There's really no caparison. But I would give
mine 4 of 5 so far. It takes a while to get to know the thing so I may
revise later.

Not at the Target store where I bought mine (saving the postage to
boot).

I've got one. The price is justified since it is a quality piece of
gear. The nice thing about the Fire is I don't feel so guilty about
buying another toy...

I think the guy had honest gripes. None of them were original as I'd
seen them before in other forums/groups. I always appreciate it when I
read product gripes because it helps me decide if I still want to take
the plunge and buy the product.

And anyway wouldn't a real troll dis Apple products in this group? I
mean dissing other tablets would be considered patriotic here wouldn't
it...
