Default Ipad for presentations ...

Hi,
I have the problem, that I want to use the Ipad for presentation -
especially for a manually controlled foto show over a beamer.
That works OK with the VGA adapter, but as this is a company device, I
am not allowed to set the "go to sleep" time to "never" by a profile
(maximum is 5 minutes) and jailbreaking is out of discussion, too.

So it happens now and then that I do speak longer that the maximum of 5
minutes without changing anything on the Ipad and the Ipad goes blank
and I have to enter the password ...
2 questions:
- Is there a tool/app/idea to come around the "go to sleep" without
changing the setting itself?
- Is there any chance to hide the chars of the password beeing displayed
beside pulling the VGA cable (and waiting for the reconnecting sync
afterwards)???

Kind regards
Jan

no. just tap the screen every few minutes, or explain to your company
that you need the sleep time to be set to never in order to properly do
a presentation.

no. change the password to 1234 before the presentation and change it
back to whatever it normally is afterwards.

The sleep timer can be shut off by the app. It would be a no-brainer
for any presentation software to do that, so look for a setting in
whatever you're using. If you don't find it, use a better app.

Disable the password for the duration of the presentation.

Hi Davoud,
sure ;-)
but the presentation is just a background for the spoken things and
there are tasks to do (without a computer) ...

Kind regards

At the moment it's just fotos I show - but there are existing
Powerpoints I want to use, too.
Is there a foto-viewer app that stops the sleep timer??

This is prohibited by the profile again ...

Hasn't the Supreme Court ruled that PowerPoint presentations violate the
Eighth Amendment prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment?

In fact, the screen will dim a few seconds before going to sleep.

Just touch it then to reset the timer.

ReHi,
this will not help if you do not stay near the Ipad - I tender to wander
around in the room, making personal contact with several people ...

Kind regards
Jan
