connect to iTunes anymore.

What has gone wrong?

All iPads, iPod Touches and iPhones identify themselves as USB camera
device when there are any pictures taken with the device. This is even true
for devices with no camera built-in, because screenshots and pictures which
were saved by Apps in the photo album do count as well.

But this should not affect iTunes. iTunes should still be able to connect o
the device and sync music, apps etc.

Try uninstalling the last app you installed on your iPad. Also make sure
that your iPad operating system is up to date and you are using the latest
version of iTunes.

Or for photos loaded using the camera card accessory.

Try checking Windows preferences/control panels where you set what
devices are supposed to do what. From memory Apple has a question on
its Support site … something to do with 'How do I transfer photographs
from the iPad to my computer?' that tells you what Windows CP's and
Preferences you have to change for Win XP, Vista or Win 7. That will
let you know what Control Panel and sub menu on same to use to force
Windows not to recognise it as a camera.
