Default iOS5 : why?

What is so wonderful about it? The Apps Store keeps offering me upgrades
for assorted apps I have to it, but I don't understand why I might have any
use for it. I do NOT have an iPhone. I have DropBox and ReaddleDocs for
things other than Pages docs I want to share easily between laptop and
iPad. I use Pages off line at least as much as on, where I can't access
that iCloud anyway, and at home I can move Pages docs back and forth
manually when necessary. I want my contacts on my iPad full-time.

So why would i want iOS 5? I'm not really playing Luddite this time 8-)
i'm curious.

The Apple web site and Mac news web has plenty of information about the
features in iOS 5. Start there.
