It's only happened twice, so it's hard to know the cause.
But both occurrences were _after_ the iOS 5 / iTunes 10.5 upgrade. During sync, in "step 5 of 5" the second status line said "waiting for items to copy" for about an hour. Then I clicked the little 'x' and it said "canceling sync" for about an hour. Quit iTunes, launched again, and sync appeared to work. That was a WiFi sync to an original iPad. With the iPhone4 today, it was plugged in and did the same thing first pass. But after relaunch, it hung with Step 5 of 5 Waiting for changes to be applied. -- Wes Groleau Be spontaneous … today http://Ideas.Lang-Learn.us/BlindDog?itemid=3984 |

Well, it's possible but unlikely that a one-year-old iPad 1 and a
one-month-old iPhone 4 would get the same hardware failure the same week that I updated iTunes and IOS.
