Default How to know how much MB space takes each iPad app including its data

Dear friends:

My iPad is running short of free Gigabytes, so I am planning to delete
several apps that I don't use too much.

But, of course, I want to start deleting those apps that they take
more memory.

How can I know how much MB space takes each iPad app including its
data?

Is there any way, in the iPad itself, or in the Mac using iTunes, to
know that information?

Thanks

for individual app sizes, you can look either in the mobile apps
folder, in the apps tab when you sync (and you can sort by size), or
click on an app and get info.

itunes will also show a breakdown of how much space all apps, music,
video, etc. take up. data should be in other but it isn't always.

There is no simple way that I know of in iOS 4.x

Only to see the size of the individual app, not the app+data

I have uncompressed songs on my computer, but compressed on my iPad.

The other way is when you download an app, write down it's size. The size
is shown for each application in the App Store. Usually games that have a
lot of detailed graphics are large in size.

First, do a backup, and then restore it. Over time its possible some
extra stuff got lost, as it were. It might show up as "other" in the
iTunes graph of how much space you are using.

The backup/restore might clear up some space. It has worked for me.
