Has it occurred to you that it's entirely possible the button is labelled differently on the iPhone simply due to space reasons, and that nothing was downloaded? -- Send responses to the relevant news group rather than email to me. Because I remember reading on the screen words to the effect of "update already downloaded click here to install". It seemed quite clear, though it is possible I misread. >> On my iPad2, however, it had "download and install" and I >> saw no way to tell it to just download but not install. > > Of course. What would be the point of that? I might not be in a position to do the install yet but, and especially if it's a big download, would like to have it ready to go for when I am ready. I do this all the time with updates on my desktop machines, don't you? > Has it occurred to you that it's entirely possible the button is > labelled differently on the iPhone simply due to space reasons, and that > nothing was downloaded? The rest gets trashed. |
