Default car mount for iPad

I'm becoming a total Waze nut, so I need to mount my iPad in the car. Any
tips for a mount that works great and is easy to attach and detatch?

personally, i'd avoid the suction cup models. they never seem to hold
devices that weigh a lot less than ipads. something with a more
permanent mount would be better.

That makes sense. Having problems with suction cups with an iPhone.

Check with Apple as not everything they sell for the iPad is on their site.

Out of interest why do you need an active iPad in your car?

if the guy wants to put an iPad in the car....which, if you did not know,
can play DVD's, videos and music, then why not either answer the Q or leave
it to someone who can.

or the Wallee but you would have to make a bracket to put the mount on.

Actually, he did offer an answer, namely to check with Apple. And what is
wrong with asking why? The answer might be something that had not occurred
to him, and that once he thought about it, may have found useful.

BTW, the iPad can't play DVDs; there's no way to put a DVD in the iPad, nor
any way to connect a DVD play to an iPad.

[please don't top post - thx]

Seems like that would scratch the back of the iPad over time.
