Default Are the in-app purchases transferred between two iOS devices using the same iTunes account?

Dear friends:

Are the in-app purchases transferred between two iOS devices using the same
iTunes account?

I did an in-app purchase in my iPad, but this is not shown in the same app
that I have installed in my iPhone.

Do I need to wait only, or do I need to repurchase it in the iPhone?

Both the devices use the same iTunes account, the only I have.

Apps that will run on both devices show up on both devices for me. But
my iPhone is much smaller than my iPad, so when I got it earlier this
year, I had to uncheck lots of apps, and make sure it synchronized
lots fewer songs and videos.

But when I add a new app - the device or devices that can use it get
it if I don't uncheck it.

I agree with you that the apps appear in both devices. My question is about
if the in-app purchases that I do in one of the devices, will appear in the
other.

I haven't tried this, but I the one in-app purchase I did make showed
up in iTunes. It was before I got my iPhone, so showing up on it
doesn't *prove* anything. But if it's in iTunes, I would expect it
to show up on the other device.

And if not, you can always re-download anything you buy from the
iTunes store, so it doesn't cost anything to experiment.

I have 2 iPads on the same iTunes account. Apps bought on 1 iPad appear in
iTunes and the other iPad unless unchecked.

Amazing that experts here don't know the difference between an app
purchase and an "in-app" purchase!

I did an in-app purchase of add-on data for an astronomy app some time
back, and it somehow found its way from the iPad on which I made the
purchase to my iPhone. The transfer wasn't visible to me, so I assume
it must have taken place behind the scenes in iTunes. Sync your iPad
first, then sync the iPhone and see what happens. And, look at the
app's settings on the iPhone to see if there might be a message like
"You have purchased the x add-on. Do you want to download it to this
device as well?"

Buena suerte!

This page should answer the question in general.

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4009

In short, one type of in-app purchase (non-replenishable) is
transferrable between devices linked to the same iTunes Store account,
but the other three types (replenishable, subscriptions, and
auto-renewing subscriptions) are on a per-device basis.

The nature of the in-app purchase should be reasonably clear from
context. A non-replenishable one would add a feature permanently to an
app, whereas the the other types are either short lived, or can be
accumulated with multiple purchases of the same item.
