Note that iTunes updated to 10.5 today - a requirement to load iOS 5 per
the blog above.

So far, the iTunes update is updated. I can't convert my Mobile Me
to iCloud yet. I haven't seen any iPhoto update yet. I was
expecting them before the IOS upgrade (which should be tomorrow).

Boy it's a slow process. The last hour it has been on the "Restoring
iPad apps" step.

It is. I broke it off to run to the optometrists and just resumed it.
No big deal. Other things to do while it updates.

The restore failed twice with error (-34), Googling, I see that
happened to a lot of people with the previous IOS.

Also, I keep getting asked to upgrade to iCloud, go through the steps,
then get told I can't do it now.
