One of those, a Zip Chip, and a SmartPort storage device of some kind and you've got pretty good coverage of the souped up 8-bit Apple II feature set. Enjoy :-) |

I thought the shipping looked a little wonky, until I realized it CAME WITH the IIc as well. Yep, pretty good deal all the way around. |

Zip chip not required. Looking forward to trying CPM mode |

Now that I recall, my Ultra II would not fit either. I think I remember it being due to the internal PS. |

Good luck achieving reliable operation with a ZipChip stacked on a ZRAM III in a IIc. I purchased a Zip 8000 and ZRAM 3 on eBay about a year ago, but the combination really does not physically fit in the machine. I could get it to work some of the time with the unit disassembled, but never with everything closed up. IIRC, the keyboard partially dislodges the Zip from the socket. Since Zips have socket contact issues even under the best of circumstances, it turned out to be a non-starter. I'm further unaware of the AE ZRam-anything fitting in a IIc+, but admit I have not researched it any depth. Steve |
