Default Toolbox Programming in GSoft BASIC

I got permission from Mike Westerfield a couple years ago to release
as freeware the six chapters of this book that were finished before we
scrapped it, but never managed to dig them up until yesterday.

I've posted a PDF of those six chapters, as well as DiskCopy and
ShrinkIt versions of the sample code for those chapters:

http://www.syndicomm.com/apple2/tool...n-gsoft-basic/

Enjoy!

Thanks for that. I'm curious about the print manager problems. Would
it have been possible to rework the examples into a (perhaps
completely) different form - or was the interpreted nature of BASIC
not the right (metaphor? environment?) for those kinds of printing
tasks?

Thanks, Sheppy.

What's the status of the GSoft BASIC software?

The GSoft BASIC software itself is still available for purchase from
the Syndicomm online store at https://store.syndicomm.com.

Thanks for releasing this, as I've just begun fiddling with GSoft a
bit, so any examples are certainly useful.

Does the user tool set UserTool003 that is referenced in the draft
actually exist somewhere? It wasn't included with the sample code,
though that code attempts to make use of it. If it isn't available, I
assume that it shouldn't be a major problem to reverse engineer its
functions, but that would certainly involve more trial and error than
simply using the real thing.
