Default Removing IIgs power supply

Hi all,

This is a stupid question I know. I think I've even done this once or twice.
How do you disconnect the power supply connector from the GS motherboard?
Are there any things you squeeze together to make it easier, or do you just
have to pull/wiggle the thing until it comes free? I'm blind, so that might
have something to do with why I'm just not getting it.

I may have blown a PSU in my GS. I turned it off to remove the card from my
Microdrive to put something new on it. Got done with that, put the card back
in the Microdrive, closed it up, turned it on, and... nothing. No speaker
pop, no bonk, no 5.25 floppy trying to boot. Not even any noise from the PSU
when I turn it off. I just happen to have another PSU laying around so
thought I'd just replace the thing. Power strip is good, power cord is good,
etc. Even plugged the power cord into the replacement PSU. When turning off,
it does the strange whistly thing it does when you turn off a PSU that
doesn't have a load. The one currently in the system seems to just be dead.
And yes, I've tried removing all cards from the system.
Thanks for any advice! I don't want to succeed at pulling the cable out,
only to discover I've ripped a pin or two off the mobo!
Jayson

Yes, there are some plastic tabs that you have to squeeze while pulling up.
These tabs work as a clamp to hold down the power connector.

I got it disconnected last night, and my replacement in place. System works
fine. Old PSU appears to have suddenly died. Any thoughts, or should I send
it to glory in a Glad bag and find another one on eBay or similar?
Thanks.
Jayson
