I didn't realize it _was_ possible to contact them! I fought for months with
a problem where I was bogus-ly blacklisted from a group and had no success.

If Google Groups doesn't get their mailing feature working again, and there
is still interest in having digests, I could add the feature to the Usenet
archive at Vault.

I find it exceedingly odd how difficult it is to contact Google even
to report a technical problem with their website. By chance, I
finally tracked down a Groups programmer employee, and sent him a
personal email directly begging him to pass on the technical error to
whomever handles Groups email.

How are other people using Groups? With some kind of reader instead
of via emails?

Actually, it makes perfect sense if you stop to think about our relationship
with Google. We are not its customers, we are its _product_. I'm guessing
folks with a commercial relationship have no difficulty reaching them.

I always read and respond to groups through their website. I find that e-mail
sent from my home account gets lost a good percentage of the time.

I think Google is finally aware of it now:

KeithR has posted an answer to the question "Not receiving Google
Groups emails via Gmail account.":

@MdntTrain, I'm going to close this thread as a duplicate of the
second reference you gave above as that other thread has now received
attention from experts in Groups and Google employees are also aware.
Please check the posts that have been made there since you posted
here.

I read the csa2 newgroup, along with other a2 newsgroups, via the
Google Groups web page.

I didn't even know there was another way.

Dejanews had some method to send messages via email, but google certainly
didn't when they took over the dejanews archive. I remember people
wondering if they could. So it's a relatively new thing.
