I thought I would try selling a few Uthernet cards on eBay. It has been awhile since I have tried selling anything through their system. I sold my first one today only to find out they now plan on holding all my sales for 21 days after the transaction is completed but I am expected to ship the item right away. https://www.paypal.com/ca/cgi-bin/?c...yments-outside Seems like an flimsy excuse to hold funds for interest bearing reasons just like the big banks do. I've been a member for 10 years and have 100% feedback, score of 66. I am not impressed one bit. :| |

Imagine such earnings with the volume this companies move every day. That's their game ;-) . Daniel |

I do transactions outside of eBay, no with holding. Like I said both my paypal and eBay accounts are in good standing ... I feel they don't have a reason to with hold my funds ... they it appears feel otherwise ... I just want to make other folks aware as I had not realized eBay/Paypal policy had changed. Guess I had better read the fine print next time ![]() |

I sold a guitar... for a few hundred $$'s.... paypal held the funds for 'up to' 21 days. The buyer left positive feedback on ebay, which according to paypal *should* automatically release the funds (here comes the kicker)..... when ebay notifies paypal that the buyer was happy. The problem was that ebay and paypal don't have real-time systems to flag a transaction as being satisfied, despite the fact that they are effectively the same organization. A quick call to paypal and a 5 minute chat with someone of indian descent fixed the issue. They were able to verify that the buyer had left positive feedback and the funds were *immediately* released. So, there are 2 things you need to heed. 1 - make sure to link the paypal transaction to the ebay auction ..... and also put in a tracking # if possible. 2 - politely ask the buyer to leave positive feedback if he is satisfied with his purchase...... a simple "Hi there. I saw that your uthernet card was delivered. If you are happy with the card, I would sincerely appreciate if you could leave positive feedback as to expedite processing at PayPal" ..... works wonders for me when I sell items on eBay... |

Last I'll say on the subject, since this is admittedly off-topic. |

I recently sold something on eBay (2 weeks ago), got paid (paypal), and spent the dough all before the item reached the seller. And before I got any feedback. |

Paypal is holding the funds because I don't meet all the eBay criteria on that web page I referenced. I learned long ago to not waste my time arguing with them about "policy". Years ago I wanted to use the same credit card on more than one account. They wouldn't budge and I didn't want to apply for another card that was only needed to fulfill their requirement in order to get verified. |
