A rough guess is that you have a DHCP problem. Any chance you can check
your DHCP server, or try hardcoding an appropriate IP into the iPhone
and see if that helps?
The other thought that comes to mind would be if your access point is
set to 802.11n-only, this might cause the same symptoms.

Yes. First enable Airplane mode (which disables all radios) then enable
Wifi.
