Have you checked with your router it should give you a list of devices
connected to it. On the iPhone if you touch the arrow on the right of
the network it should show you detail of the network connection this
should be set to DHCP and if connected successfully will show the IP
address assigned to the phone together with subnet mask, router IP
address and DNS server. The last two should be the same as your router
if router is not set to your router it does not know where to send any
network request and if DNS is different it might not be able to resolve
IP addresses from DNS names you might use like www.bbc.co.uk. Hope this
